(i) My contribution is mainly on Conservation and Management of below ground Biodiversity in India and their contribution to soil fertility.
(ii)Using Indian earthworms developed a technology called Vermitechnology, which has been patented in European Union by my former Ph.D.student in collaboration with Dr.Lavelle of Paris University and the Technology has now been transferred to China & other countries and found successful. The technology involves wasteland reclamation, enhancing plant/tea production, vermicomposting etc
(iii) .Besdes, I have worked on conservation of sea turtles, Amphibians and the work is widely quoted.
(iv) I have worked on pollution in IB River and on environmental issues (EIA, EMP etc)
